Classic Cocktails

One of my New Year's resolutions (inspired by a Mad Men marathon) was to teach myself how to make a decent cocktail. This book -- which I have my own copy of -- should be helpful in that endeavor, as should the vintage copy of the Old Mr. Boston Official Bartender's Guide I received for Christmas. Cheers!

Gawker had a great item yesterday about old-school gossip magazine Confidential, which pioneered the kind of racy, scandalous gossip that we now associate with TMZ and the National Enquirer.
